Navigating the 1031 Exchange Process with Delaware Statutory Trusts gives CPAs the fundamentals of IRS Section 1031 Exchange for real property and how Delaware Statutory Trusts (DSTs) are being utilized by taxpayers today. This presentation will discuss the basics of the 1031 process, a brief history and overview of DSTs, why taxpayers exchange into fractional ownership programs, who might be appropriate for DSTs, choosing a Qualified Intermediary, understanding the identification rules, and tax considerations when realizing gain on the sale of real property. Learn about the most recent activity in Washington regarding the 1031 Tax repeal issue.
