Course Description

Approximately one-third of all cases before the United States Tax Court implicate valuation in one form or another. This webinar is offered by a leading private law practitioner in the fields of tax and valuation. He will provide insights on litigating valuation cases and offer practical strategies that practitioners can use to limit their clients' audit and litigation exposure. Among the topics he will discuss are the substantiation rules that are most likely to apply in a valuation context, audits of valuation issues, administrative appeals rights in valuation cases, and trial aspects of a valuation case, including submission of expert reports, discovery of expert reports, and the cutting-edge hot-tub procedure that Judges are using to receive expert testimony. This webinar is a must-attend for any practitioner who regularly files tax returns where valuation is at issue.
