Everyone thinks that creating a business plan is an exercise done mostly in Microsoft® Excel – nothing could be further from the truth. There are three main components to an effective plan, including a financial plan, a sales pitch and an execution plan. By writing an effective plan, the small business owner creates an opportunity to critically think of the questions likely to be asked along the way.
