Brandon is the Director of Accountant Programs at Avalara. Previously, he worked in finance and strategy for J.P. Morgan Chase. Brandon’s job at Avalara is to provide programs, resources, and tools for CPA firms large and small that help simplify sales tax compliance for their clients. He was named to the 2014 CPA Practice Advisor’s list of 40 Under 40 Leaders Who are Shaping the Profession of Tomorrow.

Jake is a CPA and payroll advisor at Gusto. Jake began his career at Deloitte serving clients in the financial services and consumer business industries. Most recently prior to joining Gusto, he maintained the financial records and ran payroll for a technology startup. Jake is passionate about helping accountants grow their practice and better serve their clients.

An experienced marketer, Ryan O'Donnell is passionate about helping the world discover the next amazing product or service. Having worked with Avalara, Redfin, Big Fish Games, and Made Products, Ryan is humbled to be a part of Seattle's robust startup scene. Connecting amazing companies with eager customers gets a smiling Ryan out of bed every morning...and keeps him up every night. During his free time, Ryan and his wife, Theresa, can be found helping their daughters earn their next DIY.org patch or perfecting the art of pizza making.

Joel Lacayo has spent his career working with entrepreneurs as they move through growth milestones. In previous roles, Joel supported Xero’s National Accounting Partner’s growth as they scaled.

Currently he is a co-founder to Contabi Alliance, an international community of Latino Accounting business leaders built on tech + collaboration, as well as a member of the Accounting Salon, a group of cloud accounting leaders committed to innovation within the industry + generosity of spirit.

Joel loves playing all sports, time with his wife and 2 boys, and leveraging social capital with like minded people. Joel is excited to serve as an internal advocate for every Accounting professional while supporting their continued growth.
