This course will provide an overview of certain international information return filing requirements. Topics covered include how to prepare and file the returns; what to do when returns have not been filed or have been improperly filed; how to deal with examinations regarding international information returns; and a brief overview on how to challenge penalties stemming from failure to file international information returns.
 
Learning Objectives:


  • Provide background on what forms need to be filed and how they should be filed.

  • Instruct return preparers on what questions need to be asked during return preparation.

  • Learn how to deal with clients who have not satisfied their filing requirement, pre and post-penalty.
