Navigating U.S. sales tax and income tax issues across the 50 United States can be a daunting task for U.S. based business. So imagine how truly foreign our diverse and often inconsistent tax schemes might seem to foreign companies looking to do business in the U.S.
In the second part of this three-part series lead by Monika Miles and sponsored by Avalara, we will touch on the concepts of nexus, state sovereignty, and state tax registrations, along with some of the practicalities of compliance with state tax laws across the country.
This program will be beneficial not only for foreign companies currently exploring doing business in the U.S. or expanding their reach, but also for practitioners dealing with clients looking navigate the multi-state tax landscape in the U.S.
