Course Description

Discover why other states want you to collect sales tax

You’ve probably heard all about nexus, especially the Supreme Court ruling in South Dakota v. Wayfair, Inc. Remote sellers all over the U.S. have brand new rules to follow when it comes to their tax obligations. Simply making enough sales into a state is enough to trigger nexus. And that’s just one in a series of activities that obligates a business to register with a state. Let us help you make sense of nexus by breaking down the rules and guiding your sales tax strategy.

Attend the presentation and let State and Local Tax (SALT) expert Meredith Smith explain the following:

  • How the South Dakota v. Wayfair ruling impacts remote sellers and their tax obligations

  • Which activities create nexus in most states

  • When you should review your nexus activities

  • How to create a nexus checklist

This is one event you can’t afford to miss!
