Course Description

In January, the Supreme Court of the United States agreed to consider a case — South Dakota vs. Wayfair — that has the potential to change how states can tax sales by ecommerce merchants and other out-of-state sellers. This case challenges the high court’s 1992 decision in Quill Corp. v. North Dakota.

Join tax expert Scott Peterson to hear about the origins of Quill and the potential impact of a Supreme Court decision.

In this webinar, Scott will explain:

  • The history and significance of Quill Corp. v. North Dakota

  • The impact retailers and remote sellers could see

  • How businesses can prepare for the Supreme Court’s ruling
