Course Description

Leadership and ethics are being challenged in new ways like never before in the modern era. Our professional and public space is overrun with corporate scandals, government ethical failures, noncompliant accounting and financial reports, and even misleading “tweets” that all contribute to what a recent former Secretary of State called a “crisis in integrity and ethics.” The accounting profession is one of the main guardians of keeping commercial, governmental, and nonprofit organizational behavior within ethical bounds.  Just citing an ethical rule and even citing the risks associated with violations of that rule are no longer enough to secure ethical behavior by individuals and organizations.

This webinar will teach you about successful leadership strategies that work to promote ethical behavior and to enhance your reputation as a leader in ethics in the accounting profession.

Learning Objectives:

  • Learn how to apply two definitions of leadership to help your organizations and clients Identify five ways that ethics forms the foundation of sustainable leadership

  • Become a better leader and how to hold people accountable to promote ethical behavior

  • Learn how to promote ethics in organizations and individuals

  • Learn the value of creating a code of ethics, writing articles on ethical standards, and participating in AICPA National and State Ethics Committees can enhance your ability to be a recognized leader in ethics
