Course Description

Qualified retirement plans as a tax planning resource are often overlooked due to the perceived complexities and administrative oversight required to keep in compliance.  In light of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, many small business owners, in particular those with pass-through entities classified as a Specified Service Trade or Business, may find adopting qualified retirement plans a very attractive option.
 
This course will provide the tax practitioner with an overview of where qualified retirement plans may fit as a tax planning resource as well as provide an overview of the general rules for compliance.

  • Identify requirements need to be met for qualification.

  • Recognize Eligibility and Participation Rules.
