Jay Cohen is the founding partner of Monterey Wealth – a financial services firm dedicated to financial literacy, wealth planning, and 401k consulting. Our clients are entrepreneurs, executives, and professionals and realize that developing a wealth management strategy is critical for financial security. The firm was founded on three fundamental values: provide well-thought advice in the client's best interest, involve the right resources at the right time, and never lose a client due to lack of service.

Jay has a unique background in corporate finance, taxation, and accounting and is a vital member of a management team. He is a CPA and has a Master's in taxation from The University of Texas. Jay obtained the CFP® designation in 2007 and gained his business experience working at Ernst & Young, Genuine Parts Company (owner of Napa Auto Parts), and other entrepreneurial organizations. His common-sense approach to wealth management makes him uniquely qualified to coach his clients on wealth creation and preservation.

Monterey Wealth has established multiple strategic alliances, including Signature Bank, to provide financial services for its customers. Jay is married, has two sons, lives in Sandy Springs, and enjoys coaching baseball at Morgan Falls. He is involved in many organizations, including serving on the Finance Committee of Quality Care for Children. Jay was selected to become a member of PEAK, a national coaching organization dedicated to helping other top advisors grow and manage leading financial management firms.

About Us: Many 401k advisors provide investment guidance. In reality, investment management has become a commodity. Other advisors provide investment guidance and employee education. Some are effective and some are not. Very few 401k advisors provide investment management, employee education, and support plan operations. That’s what makes Monterey Wealth different. Our goal is simple. Own plan operations, help you keep your plan clean, and take work off the plan administrators' desk.
