Frank is a partner based in Withum’s New York office and has over 30 years of accounting and auditing experience. He is a licensed certified public accountant in the states of New York and New Jersey and specializes in accounting and auditing. Frank is a member of Withum’s Financial Services & Investment Group and has a great deal of experience working with investment companies (hedge funds, mutual funds and ETFs), broker-dealers, private equity and venture capital funds, registered investment advisors, real estate investment trusts and closely-held businesses. He also performs peer and quality reviews of CPA firms.

Barry is located in the firm’s New York office and has over 30 years of professional accounting experience. A certified public accountant in the states of New York and New Jersey, he is the Team Leader of Withum’s Tax Services State and Local Tax Group. Barry advises clients in residency and nexus issues, entity level taxes, sales and use taxes, and other business and personal tax matters. He also counsels clients in strategic planning, transaction reviews, risk assessment, tax law compliance and corporate restructuring.

Barry received his BBA with honors in accounting and his MS degree in taxation from Baruch College, New York City. As an active member of the New York and New Jersey State Societies of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA and NJSCPA), Barry often provides in-depth lectures and learning sessions on key state and local tax issues to local chapters as well as organizations including Baruch College and CW Post College on Long Island. He is a current member of the NYSSCPA’s Multistate & Local Taxation Committee and served as chairman in prior years. He is also a member of the NJSCPA’s New Jersey Tax Committee. He was formerly an appointed member of the Commissioner’s Advisory Council for both the NYS Department of Taxation & Finance and the NYC Department of Finance. Prior to joining Withum, Barry was a partner with EisnerLubin llp (joined with Withum in 2011).

Barry is a contributor for The Trusted Professional as well as several other industry and professional publications. He has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, Forbes Magazine and Crain’s New York Business. He was also a former editor of The CPA Journal.

Barry served on the Board of Freehold Jewish Center for six years as treasurer. He was also a hockey and Little League baseball coach. Barry resides in Monmouth County, NJ.

Jim has over 25 years of professional experience in advising clients in the areas of ASC 450 (fka FAS 5), reverse sales and use tax audits, audit defense and appeal, sales tax systems automation, negotiation of voluntary compliance agreements, transaction analysis, Sarbanes/Oxley requirements, Streamlined Sales Tax Agreement, and sales/use/excise tax compliance services.

He assists numerous clients with complex indirect tax issues in industries including pharmaceutical, technology, retail, financial services, utilities, hospitality, entertainment, defense contractors, telecommunications and manufacturing. Leading sales and use tax specialist and developed trusted relationships with New Jersey and New York state government officials.

Jim is a certified public accountant and a member of the New York and New Jersey Societies of Certified Public Accountants, as well as the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. A Montclair State University alum holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.
