Course Description

Tired of getting a stack of receipts and having to sort through them to record employee expenses/ Or maybe you’re always having to chase down employees to get receipts to support charges that have come through on a corporate card. Attend this highly interactive workshop to learn how to modernize expense reporting and reimbursements processing with some of the latest technologies.  This workshop will illustrate how to:

  • Significantly reduce or eliminate the need to obtain handwritten expense report approvals

  • Automate the expense report document routing workflow process from initial employee submission to employee reimbursement

  • Develop your enterprise architecture for expense report processing and use it to visualize the changes to your accounting operations

Learn to design or revamp your expense reporting processing to increase profitability (accounting firms) or reduce cost (accounting departments) and reduce your staff’s workload.  While each of these technologies comes with some cost, they greatly reduce manual labor and risk of error when integrated well. Freeing up staff from tedious data entry and coding tasks can also enable them to focus on higher-value analysis and other value-added services to better support clients and end-users.

Learning objectives:

  • Describe key process changes when moving from manual expense report processing to digital

  • Identify the benefits of digital expense report processing

  • Identify the risks of digital expense report processing
