Course Description

Whether you are the owner of a firm today or an aspiring owner of a firm for tomorrow, your expectation is that it is truly your firm. But even with that being the case, why do so many firms seem to run the owner instead of the owner running the firm?

Join us for this webinar as we look at three keys to running, or creating, the firm that fits your life and is set up to achieve your goals.

In this session, we will get multiple perspectives on these keys and hear from Angie Wood, who launched her new firm, Wood CPA, in 2019. Come and listen to actionable insight—with a reality perspective—and set your firm’s next path in your desired direction.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify how to run your firm and not let your firm run you

  • List the three keys to running, or creating, the firm that fits your life

  • Give examples of multiple perspectives on these keys to set your firm’s path

While pursuing her accounting degree, Angie learned how involved tax preparation is. Taxes are complicated! Preparing taxes is like seeing a 10,000-piece puzzle through to completion.

Did you know that the U.S. Tax Code is tens of thousands of pages long! Indeed, not everyone has the time or ambition to read through that! Fortunately, Angie's clients can rely on her knowledge of the code, so they don’t have to read it themselves.

Clients connect with Angie. She is a good listener, and clients leave their meetings knowing that she cares about them. Angie enjoys helping her clients understand the ins and outs of their taxes. Angie also enjoys hosting “lunch and learns.” Angie uses these sessions to foster a personal connection with her clients and educate them about changes in tax laws.
