This session will address the basics of taxability determinations and sourcing your client’s sales transactions in the online marketplace.  Topics covered include:


  • Understanding what are your clients is selling: service vs. tangible personal property; infrastructure as a service (IAAS), box or subscription services, and virtual services (or not)

  • What’s sourcing and why does it matter:  concepts of origin and destination based sourcing, intrastate and interstate sourcing and SSTP definitions and rules. 

  • Tips and tools to manage your client's taxability and sourcing responsibilities.
