Cryptocurrencies are a hot and sometimes intimidating topic. With so much in the news, it is hard to stay up to speed on the newest trends and filing requirements. This course will provide the participant with easy to understand information relating to the history, tax treatment and current legislation applicable to cryptocurrencies. At the end of this course, the participant should have a basic understanding of cyptocurrencies and be able to successfully navigate these issues for themselves and their clients.
The attendee will be introduced to cryptocurrencies - what are they and where did they come from?
The attendee will understand prior and current tax treatment of cryptocurrencies.
The attendee will be brought up to date on how the IRS is targeting cryptocurrencies and what is on the horizon.
