Tax time can be both a stressful and fulfilling phase in the life of an Accountant. The heightened state of focus whilst juggling a multitude of clients’ needs provide for an interesting work and life environment during this “silly season”. We often get to the deadline saying things like, next year I will be better prepared, my clients will be more organized, we will start earlier next time. But how often do we actually take the time to reflect on the season that was, analyze it and leverage from the experience whilst its close at hand. After completing a Business (Accounting) degree at Monash University Melbourne he joined Price Waterhouse, working in the tax division for 5 years, then moving into industry as a retail Accountant followed by 9 years with Accounting firm Rutherfords (now Crowe Horwath), based in Northern NSW.
