Course Description

For anyone that deals with sales and use tax, this is the most important presentation to attend this year. As we enter 2019, it's time to get prepared for the major tax changes taking effect across the United States. Attend our webinar and hear our resident sales tax expert explain why the Supreme Court ruling in South Dakota v. Wayfair, Inc. is only the beginning of a wave of change impacting companies that sell into multiple states.

Scott Peterson, U.S. tax policy expert and former executive director of the Streamlined Sales Tax Governing Board, is a leading authority on sales tax nexus and will explain why 2019 might bring more change than any other year we've seen.

Sales tax expert Scott Peterson will cover the following:

  • Economic nexus laws sweeping the U.S. post South Dakota v. Wayfair, Inc. ruling

  • New requirements for marketplace sellers (Amazon, Etsy, etc.)

  • Changes to tax-exempt transactions (for manufacturers and distributors)

  • Consumers' use tax requirements impact on online retailers
