Course Description

Technology is constantly changing and with that change a need arises to reevaluate how we approach auditing. We are seeing more electronic transaction documentation and less paper. New technologies arrive every week and we need to be smart about how to use them. Clients want more data analysis and conclusions on the data. Regulations are starting to change and many discussions are being held to continually improve our profession.

In order to stay ahead of this evolution, we need to understand and develop new techniques in auditing. This course will cover basic knowledge on data analytics with broad application and offer detailed practical guidance and illustrations.

Learning Objectives

  • Understand the trends in the not-for-profit industry with respect to auditing technology.

  • Walk through of common technologies employed and challenges in implementation.

  • Examples of utilizing technology in practice.
