Course Description

Accounting departments in multi-unit restaurant businesses are treated as cost centers because they traditionally don’t directly help the company do the three things it must do to grow.  Those things are:

  • Increasing Revenue

  • Controlling Food Costs

  • Optimizing Labor Expense

In this session, Morgan Harris CPA (co-founder of Restaurant365) discusses how modern technology is enabling accounting professionals to contribute in a meaningful way to these three most important things that a restaurant does to grow – and at the same time lower the expense of that department.  In an economic environment of ever-increasing regulation, competition, and rising labor costs it has never been more important to have every department in alignment with what is most important.  It is a game-changing mindset and paradigm shift for growing restaurant businesses of all types (independent multi-unit operators, chains, franchisees, & outsourced accounting firms).

I am a CPA with a passion for helping businesses implement new ERP/Accounting solutions. I have been working in my particular field since 1998 and have assisted in the implementation of new accounting software for hundreds of firms (big and small) all across the country & across many industries.

My background is public accounting with PriceWaterhouseCoopers. I help companies implement the right technology to support people and processes.

This passion has materialized into co-founding Restaurant365 - an enterprise software accounting and back office solution specific to the restaurant/hospitality industry. It is a fully integrated solution which makes it unique.
