Course Description

Planning for retirement starts with thinking about your retirement goals and how long you have to meet them. To have a comfortable, secure, and fun retirement, you need to build the financial cushion that will fund it all.

Retirement planning includes identifying income sources, estimating expenses, implementing a savings program, and managing assets and risk. Future cash flows are estimated to determine if the retirement income goal will be achieved.

However, retirement planning is a multi-step process, and, in most cases, it evolves over time. This webinar takes a long-term approach to the retirement plan that starts with ERISA. It also includes the change in careers over the long period of time that a professional may take. This is a remarkable value addition that covers a wide range of requirements of the population. Detailed descriptions and calculations will also be included.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify different types of qualified retirement plans

  • Recognize and compare the differences of each qualified retirement plan type

  • Determine the best-qualified retirement plan for a business or business owner

  • Identify the feasibility for adding a defined benefit and cash balance plan for clients
