Jim Hartley, is the 1983 co-founder of San Francisco Art Exchange LLC (SFAE), recognized worldwide pioneers and preeminent dealers of the original art of rock ‘n’ roll, and other uniquely iconic areas of the popular narrative. Music, Film, Advertising, History, Civil Rights, Markets simply didn’t exist prior to their efforts in the 1980s and 1990s.

About Us: Co-founded in 1983 by Theron Kabrich and James Hartley, San Francisco Art Exchange, LLC – “Gallery Of The Popular Image” – is a leader in international fine art sales and publishing, with a global reputation as premiere purveyors of world-class pop culture imagery including paintings, illustrations and photography.
