Course Description

This is the second of a two-part series which will provide attendees with in-depth product training. You will learn the skills and knowledge required to provide a professional level support to small business clients and help them succeed using QuickBooks Online through the end to end accounting life cycle.

In part two, you will explore the ways in which you can support your small business clients, and will refresh your knowledge of best practice workflows. You will also learn how to use Bank Feeds to match and reconcile transactions, create reports that will answer your clients’ common business questions, and perform key tasks for clients at period or year end.

  • Recognize how to record undeposited fund transactions and create estimates, credit memos, customer statements and vendor credits

  • Identify how to record deposit transactions and utilize QuickBook Payments

  • Recognize how to properly use journal entries and transfers

  • Recognize how to create bank rules, utilize the bank reconciliation tools and troubleshoot reconciled transactions

  • Identify the steps to set up and use the tags functionality

  • Identify the steps for running the Profit and Loss report and Balance sheet in QuickBooks Online

  • List reports that answer client’s common business questions and methods for customizing and working with management reports

  • Recognize the processes involved in the month-end review, writing off invoices and reclassifying transactions

  • Identify the key tasks, reports and tools for preparing client’s books for year or period end.
