With the advent of the online marketplace, the world of retailing has changed drastically. Efforts by states to maintain their sales tax revenues are constantly evolving, creating confusion for sellers of all sizes. In this session we will review recent developments as various states re-define and expand definitions related to selling through Amazon and similar platforms like EBay, Shopify, CrateJoy and others. We’ll also discuss opportunities to simplify the sales and use tax process and tools available within the various platforms or through 3rd party applications.
